Born in Chicago, IL to the late Jacob and Greta Sprogis, Vera was the beloved aunt of Vicki Campbell and Daphne Allen. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite Campbell, and her brother-in-law Ramsey Campbell.
Vera enjoyed painting, traveling and floral design and was a patron of the Berkeley Rep and A.C.T. She was also a member of the Alameda Art Association. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday on a cruise to Hawaii and Mexico.
