Vera D. Breen, 93, daughter of the late James and Lucy Tacy Breen, died Thursday December 4, 2008, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after an extended illness. Miss Breen was an employee of the City of Milford where she worked for twenty five years in the Tax Assessors Office. She was an avid football fan and belonged to several groups including The Milford Senior Citizens, The Milford Historical Society and The Milford Retirees Association. Vera was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 71 of West Haven, where she served several terms as Sergeant-At-Arms and served as chairman of several programs over the years.
Vera is survived by her sister Nancy J. Breen of Milford, and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters and three brothers
