Ms. Velma A Phillips, 54, resided at 280 Easten Ave, WTBY, CT went into eternal rest after a long illness on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Velma was born April 1, 1960 in WTBY. She is the daughter of the late Mr. David Phillips and the late Mrs. Thelma (Byrd) (Phillips) Johnson. She was educated in the Waterbury public school system. She was a long time employee of Carriage Manor as a CNA.
Those left to cherish fond memories include: four sisters; Mary Berger, Mrs. Carolyn Robertson (George) of Waterbury, Mrs. Zina Newman (Leon) of Prospect, Mrs. Tracy Dunbar (Ra-Shaun) of Henderson, Nevada and one brother; Vincent Phillips of Waterbury. Also mourning are her children, Cheyenne and Elijha Benjamin along with their grandmother, Deretha McKogg, twelve nephews and five nieces, and great nephews and nieces, hosts of uncles, aunts and many cousins and friends.
