Veda was born in Muncie on January 9, 1940, the daughter of Harry and Rowena (Johnson) Paris Sr, and was a 1958 graduate of Yorktown High School.
Survivors include her husband of over 37 years, James Gibson Jr., Muncie; two sons, Neil Studebaker, Muncie, and Michael Gibson, (wife-Stephannee), Muncie; a daughter, Cindy Gillum, (husband-Jeff), Muncie; a brother, Harry “Bud” Paris, (wife-Barbara), Muncie; a sister, Patty Ann Clevenger, (husband-Charles), Muncie; a sister-in-law, Patty Jean Paris, Yorktown; five grandchildren, Tanya Dellinger, (husband-Jeremy), Greg Studebaker, Codi, Gracee, and Drew Gibson; two great grandchildren, Kayla and Kassidy Dellinger; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mark Studebaker, two brothers, Richard and Donald Paris.
