Veda Analee Flanigan, nee DeSpain, 76, of Lebanon, IL, born November 17, 1941 in St Louis, MO, passed away at her home on Monday, January 29, 2018. Veda was a member of Moline Baptist Church in Riverview, MO where her father pastored for many years. Veda worked as a dispatch supervisor for Laclede Gas for over 20 years. She loved ancestry. Her hobby was making a DeSpain Family Album which included 17 generations all the way from 1880 through present.
Veda was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Virginia M. DeSpain, nee Whitener; and brother, Ben Clarence DeSpain. Surviving are her son, Jerry Flanigan of Lebanon, IL; friend and caregiver, Brenda Peterson of Lebanon, IL; longtime friend and companion, Hurley Huett of St. Genevieve, MO; one grandchild, Heather Nicole Malony; three great-grandchildren, Tristan Flanigan, Noah Malony, Payton Malony; two “grandchildren”, Jaden Huett and Jillian Huett.
