Vasile Ceascai of Burlington City passed away Wednesday March 11, 2020 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia at the age of 68. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Vasile was a longtime resident of Burlington City. He worked for the Ford manufacturing facility in Lansdale, PA until his retirement.

Vasile was an avid fan of NASCAR and football, particularly the Eagles. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and horse racing and trips to Parx Casino. He also enjoyed the family summer vacations to Seaside. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a man who was selfless and giving, always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was very handy and was known by friends and neighbors as the “Romanian McGyver” because he could fix just about anything.

Vasile was also someone who liked to have a good time and enjoyed the company of friends and family. Friends and neighbors would gather at his house for pizza Fridays where the kids would play and the adults would talk over pizza and a few beers. One of Vasile’s favorite lines was to have “One more for the road” because he never wanted the party to end.

He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved dog Coco. He is survived by his wife Linda (nee Trembula), his daughters and son in law: Christina and Anthony Barberio and Michelle Ceascai, his grandchildren Luca and Armanyee, his aunt Margaret Buda and several nieces and nephews.
