Vance Vernon Plympton, 63, died 11/2/17 at home in Missoula His body just wore out.

Vance was born in Kalispell Montana on June 17, 1954 at the old Kalispell Hospital. He attended Evergreen grade school, Flathead high school and Flathead Valley Community College.

Vance worked 15 years at Columbia Falls Aluminum Plant, then for the Juvenile Detention Centers in Kalispell, Missoula and Hamilton Montana. From there he worked at The Hub which was a drop-in center for the mental handicap and the homeless in Billings.

Vance loved people and socializing. People loved him and his sense of humor and his antics. His reputation for fun preceeded him. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and family campouts.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Helga Pollock-Plympton, Daughter Laressa Brushia, three grandsons; Anthony Brushia, Ethan Brushia, and Ian Plympton-Brown. He is also survived by brothers: Warren (Marlene), Weldon (Kay), Steve (Gay) and numerous nieces and nephews He was preceeded in death by his beloved son Matthew Plympton, his sister Janey, his father and mother Warren & Jacqueline Plympton.

The family request and memorial be sent to the American Heart Association.
