Valery Magdeline Styles born Oct. 18, 1920 in Pennsylvania died Apr. 6, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Kenneth D. Styles.
Among her many accomplishments were careers in nursing and education, serving as principal of Queen of Peace elementary school in LaMarque, TX for 25 years. She received a papal award for service to the catholic church as well as the golden age master award in bridge. She will be remembered as a loyal friend, loving all children and her family, and as a world traveler.
She is survived by one brother Charles Hunsberger of Philadelphia, PA and one sister Marcella Schaeffer of Valparaiso, IN, as well as her son Daniel Kenneth Styles of Huntsville, AL three granddaughters Danna Riddle of Prospect, TN Kari Schott of Farmington Hills, MI and Natalie Thomas of White Oak, TX, six great grandchildren and 3&1/2 great-great grandchildren.
