Valerija C. Woolvin, a longtime resident of Sisterdale, TX, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Born in Riga, Latvia on January 3, 1929, she was the daughter of Eugene and Appolonija Buzzinskis Cernauskis. A longtime proprietor of the Sisterdale Store, she was very proud of her ranch that had been settled by Dr. Ernst Kapp in 1849. She loved collecting art and raising longhorn cattle. Preceded in death by her parents, son, Phillip Woolvin, and sister, Eleanor, Mrs. Woolvin is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Allen and her husband, Robert; grandsons, Justin Metcalf and Christopher Agold; nieces, Irene and Edie.
