Valerie Ann Lowery, 47, of New Buffalo, Michigan, died Friday, January 5, 2007 at her home.Valerie was born February 9, 1959 in Michigan City, Indiana to Dale and Gloria (Gordon) Lewis. She attended New Buffalo High School, Class of 1977. She enjoyed gardening, was a talented artist, liked horses, kittens, cooking and gardening. She was a landscaper and was employed by Independent Steel in New Buffalo.
Valerie was a loving mother and grandmother.Survivors include her children, Charles Lowery and his fiancée, Jennifer, of New Buffalo and Daryl and her husband Terry Schwarz II of LaPorte, Indiana; grandchildren, Damien and Angelina Schwarz; parents, Dale and Gloria Lewis of New Buffalo; brother, Kevin and his wife Linda of Three Oaks, Michigan; and her sisters, Karen Lewis of Warren, Michigan and Juanita and her husband, Tom Braden of New Buffalo. Valerie was preceded in death by her sister, Terrie Klettke.
