Valerie Jean Samson, 54, of Lucille Drive, Shelton, died on Saturday, April 15, 2006, in Connecticut Hospice after a long courageous struggle with cancer. She was born on September 17, 1951, to the late James and Adeline Jacobson Ahern in New Haven. An active member of the community, she was a reading recovery consultant for the Milford Board of Education and a member of the Milford and Shelton Junior Women’s Club. Mrs. Samson is survived by her loving husband Michael Samson, 32 1/2 years, devoted children Zachary Samson, a student of Shelton, Orion Sampson an engineer, of Shelton and Justin Samson an artist of Brooklyn, NY, brothers Tim Ahern of Milford, Brian Ahern of Bahrain and Jame Ahern of Willimantic.
