Valerie Dean Dennis was born on October 20, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents, Benjamin Cudjo, Sr. and Theresia O. Lee Cudjo. She was the fifth child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Clyde, Benjamin, Jr., Dale, Willard and her sisters, Gladys, Gretta and Latricha. As a child, she enjoyed being outdoors playing, feeding the family dogs, listening to music and dancing. She received her early education in Spencer, Oklahoma, graduating from the Star Spencer High School in 1978. In July of 1999, Valerie united in holy matrimony to Mark W. Dennis in Denver, Colorado. She was the proud mother of four beautiful children, Johnny, Ortell and twins, Roshall and Rashall. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her greatest joy was the care and nurture of her family. They all remember her as loving, kind, understanding and honest. She was later blessed with thirteen grandchildren, who were an additional source of joy and pride in her life.
