Ula Lorene Sapp, 91, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015. She was born on October 26, 1923 to the late William E. and Stella Brooks. She graduated from Kathleen High School. She was co-owner of Marker’s Grocery and Sapp’s Grocery. She was employed by Jordan’s Jewelry, where she remained until the store’s closing.
Mrs. Sapp was preceded in death by her siblings, William (Buddy) Brooks, Albert Brooks, Donald Brooks, Maxine Folds and Vernon Brooks. She was also preceded by her first husband, Leo Marker, and her second husband, Alfred Sapp. She is survived by her daughters, Cyndi (Mike) Murphey and Linda (Tom) Eads, her son Alfred Jay Sapp, her grandchildren, Lauren (Adam) Malatesta, Lance Murphey, Lindsey Sapp, Scott (Robin) Eads and Michael (Natalie) Eads, and her great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Austin and Zachary Eads.
