Tungla Faye Odom, age 64 was born December 14, 1957. She was born in Vredenburgh, Alabama but was raised in Columbus, Ohio. She attended Linden McKinley High School. Faye loved to read romance novels and listen to her jazz music. She later found her love for watching Tyler Perry movies and TV shows on BRAVO, but most of all she loved her family and friends.

Faye was called home and received her wings to heaven on December 19, 2021.

Faye loved volunteering at her children’s school as a crossing guard attendant and volunteered as a chaperone for many school trips. She also volunteered as a cheerleading coach for the Linden Eagles Youth Association. She was so dedicated to her girls that she had the uniforms made for each girl on her team.

Faye enjoyed duo chatting with all her siblings and nieces. She kept us laughing and was the life of the party on the calls. She respectfully spoke what was on her mind so there never was  a dull moment on these chats.

Even at times when her illness would have her feeling bad she would always bounce back because she was truly a fighter.

Within  the last fourteen years she has been enjoying life with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was greatly loved and will be missed dearly.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson Odom Sr. and Ossie Bell Odom, grandmother, Annie Mae Freeman, and nephew DesJuan E. Odom.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Ericka (Tiun) Todd, son Eric (Taneka) Odom, brothers, Alonzo (Norma) Odom, Thomas Odom Jr. and Christopher Odom, sisters, Angela Odom, Tyianna (Leordis) Dulaney and Sonya Odom, grandchildren, Cliffone E. Todd, Payton M. Odom, and Eric V. Odom Jr, best friend Brenda Garcia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
