WINSTED – MORIN – Trina M. Morin, 49, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Edward Morin for 31 years. Born September 27, 1966 in Oxnard, CA; the daughter of the late Karen (Ball) Stalker. She was raised in Ashley Falls, MA by her grandparents, Marion and Robert Ball. She graduated in 1984 from Housatonic Valley Regional High School. In 1985, Trina married her husband, Ed and became an instant “mom” to little Ed and soon after they expanded their family with three daughters and a son. She endured tragic losses in her life but she always found a light in the situation. She loved playing Scrabble with Aunt Mill and Aunt Peggy, and cards with her favorite Uncle Dave. She was an avid duckpin bowler at Laurel Lanes in Winsted and also competed in national tournaments. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching her “shows.” The one thing that brought her the most joy was becoming a grandma. Most of you know Trina before she had her second stroke, but if you got to know her after the stroke, you’d really see the depth of how caring and loving she truly was and how selfless always caring about others before herself. She was an inspiration to all that knew her and she will be missed beyond words. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Karen Morin and spouse Eric Leifert; two sons, Andrew Morin and Edward Phair and spouse Jessica; three grandsons, Jacob and Josh Phair and Lincoln Leifert; four granddaughters, Alysha Lyman, Kaylin, Sophia and Cali Phair; and many extended family members. She was predeceased by two daughters, Ashley and Heather Morin.
