Born October 28, 1963 in Hayti, MO to the union of Freida and Roy Cooper, Jr. the second of five children. She departed this life April 20, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Tracey was married to Pastor Dennis Moore for seven years.
Tracey professed a hope in Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Cedar Street Missionary Baptist Church in Hayti, Missouri. Later, she joined New Saint Paul Church in Steele Missouri where she graciously served as the first lady of the congregation.
Tracey graduated from Hayti High School in 1982. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lincoln University in Jefferson City Missouri. After college, Tracey received her LPN license in 1996, then immediately began her career as a nurse at McKendree Village and worked there for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Freida Cooper and brother Kenny Cooper.
Tracey Cooper-Moore leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Pastor Dennis Moore of Nashville, Tennessee; three children, Cacye Cooper of Nashville, Tennessee, Sheryl Moore of Kennett, Missouri, and Dennis Moore Jr. of Kennett Missouri; one Granddaughter, Ceidera Moore of Kennett Missouri; three siblings, Roy (Alberta) Cooper III of Hayti, Missouri, Stacey Cooper of Nashville, Tennessee, and Joe (Jo) Cooper of St. Louis, Missouri; five Aunts, Mai Ella (Joe) Rucker of Brocton, Massachusetts, Arlene Whitford of White Plains, New York, Sherry Ferguson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kaye Cooper of Kennett, Missouri, and Anita Fuqua of Nashville, Tennessee; four Uncles, Mike Cooper of Hayti, Missouri, Alex Cooper of Hayti, Missouri, Dr. Thomas (Sharlyn) Cooper of Fulton, Missouri, and Tommy Rush of Aurora, Illinois; one Great Aunt Mildred Cooper of Hayti, Missouri, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
