Robert Antone “Tony” Stolz of Exeter, Calif., passed away on Oct. 3, 2021. He was 61 years old. Tony was born on March 27, 1960 in Exeter, Calif., to James L. Stolz and Margaret “Peg” Stolz. He and his four older siblings all attended Exeter Union High School, with Tony graduating in 1978. He was an exceptional multi-sport athlete during high school, participating in football, basketball, baseball, water polo, and tennis.

Tony attended College of the Sequoias and then went on to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he earned a degree in agriculture business management and enjoyed being a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. While at a social function with Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Tony met Jacqueline Leclerc from Whittier, Calif., and the two fell in love and married in Whittier on Sept. 10, 1988.
The couple started their marriage in Southern California (Valencia), with Tony working in the produce industry for Sunkist Growers, Inc and Fruit Growers Supply Company headquartered in Sherman Oaks, Calif. Tony and Jackie together went on to earn their postgraduate master’s degrees in business administration in the evenings at National University in Los Angeles, Calif. Together, they raised two children, Garrett Stolz and Kassi Stolz.
The family spent 12 wonderful years living in Camarillo, Calif., before deciding to move back to Tony’s hometown of Exeter in 2005, where both of his children graduated from his alma mater.
Tony enjoyed a 40-year career in produce-related sales, marketing and business development, where he earned a reputation for being an expert in all things citrus related. While living in Exeter, Tony was employed by Extreme Pressure Systems, Oxbo International, Golden Valley Citrus, and most recently Pace International in Visalia, Calif.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Jim Stolz; mother-in-law, Kathryn LeClerc; uncle, Bill Kiley Stolz; aunts, Lorraine Lindahl and Helen Howard; and his grandparents, Henry and Hildegard Stolz, and Edward and Emma Griffith.
He is survived by his mother, Peg Stolz; his wife of 33 years Jackie Stolz; son Garrett Stolz and daughter Kassi Stolz; sisters Cindy Johansen and Linda Munsch; brothers Mike Stolz and Rick Stolz; father-in-law Bob LeClerc; stepmother-in-law Sally LeClerc; sisters-in-law Joanne Bikmaz, Danna Evans, Michele LeClerc, and Mona Stolz; brothers-in-law Cetin Bikmaz, Scott Evans, Eric Johansen, John LeClerc, and Lyle Munsch; nieces Kate Evans, Mary Evans, Andrea Green, Jaclyn Munsch, Mattie LeClerc, and Sandrina Stolz; nephews Troy Bikmaz, Eren Bikmaz, Jackson Evans, David Johansen, James LeClerc, Stephen Munsch, Jeffrey Munsch, Daniel Munsch; and his aunt Jean McDonough.
Tony will be remembered for his easy smile, love of sports, and incredible sense of humor. He was a proud, religious, and patriotic family man who possessed endless energy in taking care of his loved ones, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
