Tony (Moon) Joseph DiOrio, 91, passed away June 28, 2015 in Canon City, CO. He was born in Taranta Peligna, Italy on March 26, 1924 to Joseph and Antoinette (Madona) DiOrio. Tony was united in marriage to Rose Marie Fazzino on April 30, 1946 in Brookside, CO. A veteran of WWII, Tony served in the U. S. Army as a member of the 544th Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment and was awarded the Bronze Star. After serving his country, he worked in Portland for Ideal Cement Company until his retirement as a supervisor. Tony enjoyed building furniture, and loved watching the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies.
