Anthony Wayne “Tony” Elmore, 55, of Jacksonville, IL, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home.

Tony was born December 6, 1966, the son of Robert A. “Bob” Sr. and Mary Kay (Kennedy) Elmore. He married Holly Wilson, and she survives.

Tony is also survived by his father; seven children, Derek Elmore of Jacksonville, Leslie (Jamie) Davis and Jeremy (Amber) Elmore, both of Hannibal, MO, Katherine Elmore of Quincy, Zachariah Elmore of Jacksonville, Zion (Megan) Elmore of Biloxi, MS, and Mary Elmore of Jacksonville; thirteen grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob (Lynnette) Elmore Jr. of Jacksonville, and David (Becky) Elmore of South Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, James C. “Jim” Elmore.

Mr. Elmore was an over the road truck driver, and the owner and operator of his trucking company, 8ZNUFF Trucking. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the Central Illinois Leathernecks, which was involved with the Toys for Tots Program. He enjoyed riding his Harley, drag racing, sky diving, and attending concerts. Most of all, Tony loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
