Toni Delight Anderson (Williams/Herman/Jackson) 84, of Climax, passed away September 26, 2021, at her home with family by her side.
She was born May 7, 1937, in Flint, MI, the daughter of Kenneth and Martha (Freeman) Williams.
Toni was a factory worker for most of her career which ended when she retired from Kellogg’s after being employed there for over 20 years and was part of the first group of women hired to work an 8-hour shift, which prior to that was only worked by men. She loved to have a good time and some of her coworkers may have heard her Woody Woodpecker laugh over the intercom.
Before some injuries and failing health, Toni was an avid bowler and is recognized on the Wall of Fame at Marshall Lanes. She even won a State Bowling Doubles Title one year with her then-bowling partner. Toni also enjoyed snowmobiling, cooking for an army (she was a great cook and nobody ever left hungry), playing games (especially Yahtzee), fishing, gardening, and golf and was a huge Detroit Tigers fan.
Toni is survived by her daughters, Sherry “Robin” (Herman/Guiette) Slavoff and Merilee Anderson; 4 grandchildren: Robert Brannon, Ashley Brannon, Kelly (Robert) Augustine, and Jessica (Troy) Guthrie; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Siblings: Sandra Rothoff, Mona Drubin, Roberta “Bobbie” Hardin, Martha “Jo” (Donald) Herman, Darrell (Pat) Dunckel and several nieces and nephews as well as her best friend Susan “Pepsi Le Pew” Hanna and her 4-legged faithful companion, Gizmo.
