Mr. Tommie Hoyt Hubbard, Jr. passed away at Hospice LaGrange on March 27, 2014. He was born in Coweta County and was the son of the late Tommie Hoyt Hubbard, Sr., and Aselene Wilson Hubbard.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Betty Irene Hubbard. Mr. Hubbard loved his family’s land and operated a dairy farm and carried on the family’s tradition of living off the earth’s bounty. He was also well-known as a fix-it man and was quick to respond with a helping hand. During the time of the Korean Conflict, he served in The National Guard. He was a member of Andrew’s Chapel Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Peggy Newby Hubbard; a daughter, Karen Irene Hubbard; a son, Tommy Dwayne Hubbard. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Johnnie (Mrs. Kenneth) Hawk and an extended family of nieces and nephews.
