“Tommie” as she preferred to be called, was born in Port Chester, NY on August 29, 1930; a daughter of the late John and Crescenza (Fraioli) Bruni. She was the first of her family to be born on American soil. Her parents and siblings were born in San Marino Italy.

In her youth, Tommie began perfecting the seamless, peaceful strength she portrayed through out her life.

A South Salem resident for 56 years, Tommie worked with her late husband, Mario, as the President of Mario A. Buzzeo Construction and attended many fire department events to support him. She loved bowling, tennis and ceramics. Tommie loved sitting in her backyard looking at the beauty of nature and would refer to it as “God’s Country”.

Always a kind, gentle woman with a wonderful wit, she was adored by anyone she met. She was the most non judgmental, peaceful soul with the strength and fortitude that no other person was been graced with.

She would say, “There but for the grace of God, go I”. She awoke every morning thanking Jesus for the day. She lived her life with the realization that each moment was a gift and would say that God granted her with the ability to forget any negativity and move on – “You open the window and blow out the bad”.

Mrs. Buzzeo was adored by her family – her children, grandchildren, great grand children and extended family members

She was a very private woman who would never show what pain she was enduring. Her positive attitude; saying “I am fine”, carried her through many of life’s tragedies without ever letting anyone know that they existed. She greeted everyone with a smile and willingness to listen to their troubles.

Mrs. Buzzeo is survived by her 4 children: John and Victoria Buzzeo; Mario Buzzeo Jr.; Carol Coleman, and her husband, Wayne; and Marie “Mia” Buzzeo. In addition, Mrs. Buzzeo is survived by her grandchildren: Daniel Coleman, Sarah Coleman, and Jesse Buzzeo; as well as her great grandchildren: Madalyn and Jaxon Coleman.

In addition to her husband, Mario, and her parents, Mrs. Buzzeo was predeceased by her siblings: Carmen Bruni, Marie Latella, and Angelina Del Bianco.
