Tom Martin, 64, of Boise Idaho, died at St. Alphonsus Hospital Saturday, December 16, 2017 following complications from cancer. Tom was born November 10th, 1953 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son of Merlin F. Martin & Dona B. Killian. He was raised in Twin Falls and then attended the College of Southern Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho. Tom has degrees in Geological Engineering, Law Enforcement, and Computer Science. Tom moved to Boise in 1988 and worked for the Idaho Transportation Department until his passing.
Tom was an avid photographer, and loved entering pictures into fair competitions. He also enjoyed painting, fishing, camping, and gold panning. He was a whizz at trivia games, loved watching black and white movies and attending the Shakespeare festival with his friends. He enjoyed dabbling in many art related activities, taking inspiration from outdoor art festivals.
Tom was a science fiction/fantasy fan, and was an avid reader.
Tom is survived by his brother Robert E. Martin, of Emmett, Idaho, and cousins in California, Florida, and Idaho. Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brother, Michael A. Martin.
