With sadness we announce the sudden loss of our beloved father and grandfather, Toby Garcia, who left to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 28, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his father Trinidad Garcia, mother Connie Garcia, brother Trinidad W. Garcia, and grandmother Victoria Garcia.
Toby is survived by his wife Beatrice Garcia; sons: Toby O. Garcia, Tim A. Garcia (Anna); brothers: Fred Garcia (Janet), Sam Garcia (Susan), John Garcia, Pete Garcia; sisters: Terry Kopcak, Elena Montoya (Charles), Antionette Kirikos, Barbara Rios, 5 grandchildren: Kendyl Garcia (Dominic Anzures), Sofia Garcia, Roman Garcia, Maddy Jiminez, Alec Jiminez; 2 great-grandchildren: Lydiah Anzures, Skye Anzures. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Toby was a self-made man. He owned and managed several retail stores and bar/night clubs. The last 25years he owned and managed Galleria Homes with his son Toby Jr. Toby loved to work. He refused to retire. He walked and ran miles a day for years, all the way up to the time he was hospitalized.
He was fond of traveling. As long as there was a beach. Every year for 30 years he took all his family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to his favorite beach in La Jolla, California. It was important to him to spend time with his family.
It’s only after someone is gone do you realize how much you miss them. Rest in Peace Pop.
