Tinsley A. Kelly, 81 died Tuesday December 3, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born June 27, 1932 at Harlan Kentucky and was the son of Patrick and Rosie (King) Kelley. Mr. Tinsley was a Korean Veteran serving in the US Army. He retired in 1988 after 30 plus years as a production worker at General Motors Marion Plant. He was a member of the Fairmount Friends Church, American Legion Post 336, Harlan, Kentucky, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1178 Harlan, Kentucky.
His passion was wood working, of which a lot of his projects he competed with at the fair. He enjoyed gardening and his cats and dogs. His first wife Beulah Burkhart Kelly died March 21, 1987.He married his second wife Phyllis Kendall Harrold August 1987, she survives at Fairmount.
He is also survived by 2 daughters: Thelma Wallen, Fairmount, IN and Jane (Steve) Landis, 2 Sons: Leonard Hampton, Jonesboro, IN and David (Diana) Kelly, Evarts, Kentucky. Sister; Averil Raines, Hamilton, OH and brother; Wilburn Kelly, Atlanta, GA Grandchildren;Dylan, Caleb, Jacob, Linda, Lisa, Rhonda, Debbie, Karen,and Crystal.Many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons;Willy Hampton and James Hampton Sr., grandson, Ron Wallen Jr., sisters; Bonnie, Edith, and Della and a brother, Clarence.
