Tina Marie (Mozzicato) Marzi, 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 8, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Santo and Concetta (Ucello) Mozzicato of New Britain. Tina was one of six daughters, all have predeceased her. She was born on June 10, 1928, in New Britain, where she attended local schools and found the love of her life, the late Patsy Marzi, to whom she was married for 55 years, until his passing in 2004. An active member of St. Ann’s Parish, she was past president of its Ladies Guild, and was instrumental in the success of many Italian Festivals that were held annually. She was honored in 1989, with her husband Patsy, by the Columbian Federation, for exceptional community service to the city of New Britain. Tina had a love for dancing and listening to the classics, especially on Sunday mornings. She leaves behind her son Donald Marzi and his wife Brigitta of East Berlin, where she made her home for nine years, her son Gary Marzi and wife Margaret of Berlin, her daughter Paula Kufta and her husband David of Marietta, GA, with whom she resided most recently, her son Richard Marzi of Hebron, her daughter Patricia Cefaratti of Marietta, GA; her loving niece Marsha (Marzi) Mitchell and her family of Berlin; and many other dear nieces and nephews. She loved to visit and laugh with her eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Tina will be greatly missed, as she was the matriarch of her family and entertainment for anyone who knew her.
