Sadly, on June 30, 2021, Timothy Patrick Shipley, Jr passed after a long illness bravely bourn.  He was just 46.

Timothy was a resident of Glen Burnie until recently residing in Ellicott City.  He  is a graduate of Glen Burnie High, Class of 1992 and worked as a craftsman, a woodworker and a furniture maker.  His true love though, was music.  He learned to play the guitar at 15 years old, late for most students, but he had an ear for music.  Timothy worked for the famous guitar firm, PRS and after a years apprenticeship, he was able to construct his own “signature guitar.”  He made it as he felt it should be, a true one of a kind and a superb  instrument.  Timothy was a member of a “garage band” and played gigs around the area and even recorded several CD’s.  He was fond of nature and enjoyed being outdoors.  He liked to forage and had an interest in Botany.  A favorite past time was trout fishing.  He was skilled at tying his own flies and meticulously documented his adventures fishing.  He had even planned to write a book on the subject.

Surviving Timothy are his dear parents, Timothy P. Sr., and Virginia C. (nee’ Sykes) as well as his devoted sister Pamela Hamlen and husband Christopher.  His memory will be cherished by his loving nieces, Caradyn and Cwen Hamlen and his  beloved nephew Cormec Hamlen.  He will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  His devoted pet dog, “Toby” will deeply miss him.
