Timothy Edward Mattison, 43, of Milford, beloved son and brother, passed away suddenly in his sleep Sunday morning, March 22, 2009.
He was a loyal friend to many and a deeply devoted son and brother. Timothy was an employee at Pitney Bowes/HealthNet in Shelton. He was a life-long resident of Milford, graduating as Salutatorian of Milford Academy Class of 1983, named “Who’s Who” among the top students in High School, and received the Rensselaer Polytechnical Award in his Junior year. During his life he was a member and served as master counselor, Chevalier and State Officer for the Order of Demolay in Milford, and was a member of the Mason’s Ansantawae Lodge #89. He was a true and avid sports fan.
He is survived by his parents Dennis and Charlotte Mattison of Milford, three sisters: Pamela Murphy of West Haven, Patricia (Timothy) Smith of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Paula Shea of West Haven; his grandmother, Louise Jeffes and his nieces and nephews, Scott, Megan, Samantha, DJ, Brittany, Sydney, and Missy. He always put others before himself and was always the person who would be there to help in any situation for both his family and friends. Always with a smile on his face and a big hearty laugh, when he entered any room, his exuberant and friendly personality, made everyone love him.
