Timothy Charles Meyer, 65, a resident of Wendell, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home in Wendell.

Tim was born on October 9, 1955 at Offutt Air Force Base, Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Charles F. Meyer and Marjorie J. Colberg Meyer.

Tim was raised in a military family, and during his early years lived in various places until his family moved to Twin Falls.  He attended the Lutheran School in Twin and graduated from Twin Falls High School; activities during that time included the Twin Falls Library Book Mobile, Ski and chess clubs.

Tim married Bonnie Mink in 1978. He worked for Ed McNutt and Muncie Mink residing in Wendell, until establishing his own business Tim Meyer Carpentry, and later named his business Black and Blue Construction. He contracted new homes and remodeling projects throughout Idaho.

He was active in Ski Patrol at Pomerelle Mountain south of Burley, and Magic Mountain, south of Twin Falls.

Tim and Bonnie home schooled their children and helped establish the Magic Valley Home Educators.

Tim was actively involved with various community programs such as the Scouting Program and Gooding Swim Team.

Tim imparted his skills to others within the work release program for students in the Wendell High School, challenging them in carpentry and math skills.  He helped with the Idaho Science Olympiad at the College of Southern Idaho with the State event, and later taking teams to National Science Olympiad.

Tim was actively involved in the Political process with the Gooding County Republican committee and ran as a write-in candidate for our District Representative and for the Mayor of Wendell twice.

Tim will be missed for his love and commitment to his family, and for his commitment to work doing all with his ability to do the best job possible, in whatever he put his hand to do.  Tim tried to have a work ethic that honored the Lord, and provided help for others in any situation they found themselves in.  May he be remembered for his loyalty, and caring nature for those who needed his help.
