Tideshe Davis Sr, affectionately known to his friends as “Box” was born October 3, 1980, to Earl Rowell and Gloria Davis. He transitioned from life on December 3, 2021

Box was educated in the Newark Public School system. He worked various jobs throughout the city of Newark.

Box was known for his crazy laugh, his jokes “even though they were corny” you couldn’t help but to laugh at them. He loved dancing and playing his loud music. Box was definitely the life of any party. He was sure to make his presence known. Box was always there to help whoever needed him. He loved the kids even if they were not his he would do anything for them, and made sure he had something in his pocket for them. BOX was loved by many and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Box was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Rachel Owens Davis, Arinda Rebecca Tenney and Isaiah Tenney, paternal grandparents Omiller and John Rowell his uncles: Isaac Tinney, Lee Phillips, Joe, Samuel, Percy and Waldell Rowell, his aunts: Doris Williams,Virginia and Parcilla Rowell, and his two daughters Sukari and Ariyana Davis.

Box leaves to cherish his memory: His Parents Earl Rowell and Gloria Davis, (4 daughters) Rabiyyah (Jasmine) and Zakiyyah Harrell of North Carolina, Ty-tiana Davis of Newark, NJ, Za’nyah Davis of Queens NY (2 sons) Tideshe Jr and Jahsir Davis of Newark, NJ, (6 sisters) Tahihira Davis, Antoinette Cross, Deborah Bethea, and Maquitta, Faith & Lovell Rowell (3 brothers) Ty’rone Lesane, Earl Jr and Muhammad Rowell (2 special nephews) Al-jamir Davis and Tymir White (4 aunts) Mary (Charles) Washington, Annie (John) Bethea, Linda and Brenda Rowell (5 uncles) Al and Paul Davis, John Williams, Harold and John Rowell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. One Special Friend Gena “Bookie” Polite and Two Children that he loved like they were his own Noel Riddick and Shakeemah Polite.
