Thurlow Steven “Bud” Thompson
September 28, 1933- June 9th 2019

Thurlow Steven Thompson better known as “Bud” has passed away, this sunny Sunday morning of June 9th 2019, at home in the loving company of family.

Born in Boise Idaho, to Dean and Helen Thompson. He was the second eldest of twelve children. When the youngest siblings could not pronounce “Thurlow”, they would call him ‘brother’ which sounded a lot more like “Bud” and so his lifelong nickname was born. He spent his youth having adventures with his siblings that today’s children would never enjoyed carefree summers in Cascade with his Grandma & Grandpa. The Thompson kids were always up for a fun time but, he found joy in work as well. He could be found doing odd jobs in the North end of Boise such as paper boy, pin setter at the bowling alley and even washing circus elephants when they came to town.

Bud enlisted in the Army at age seventeen. He was trained as a communication specialist and served overseas during the Korean War.
