Thompson Lindley, age 74, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away on 11 November 2015 at 6:20 pm due to a long term illness.

Lieutenant Colonel Thompson “Tom” Lindley, United States Air Force (Retired) was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and numerous military actions and exercises during the period 1960 to 1984 while flying the C-130A/B/E/H, MC-130E “Combat Talon”, AC-130H “Spectre”, C-47C and C-123 aircraft as a navigator, instructor navigator, navigator/bombardier, radar navigator and fire control officer compiling over 8000 flying hours during his 24 year military career.

Survivors are his beloved wife of 52 years, Virginia A. (Pry) Lindley of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, daughter Laura L. McDonald of Tallahassee, Florida, son COL Alan T. Lindley (U.S. Army) of Alexandria, Virginia and his wife Claire, two wonderful grandchildren, Joshua T. Lindley and Kelsey S. Lindley of Tallahassee, Florida, sisters Barbara L. Dalton of Pensacola, Florida and M. Terrie Hegi of Vincentown, New Jersey, brother Arthur F. Lindley III of New Haven, Connecticut, and many family members, friends and United States Air Force personnel that graced his life.
