Thomas V. Keohane was born June 26, 1929, in Punxsutawney, PA. He is survived by Joan M. Keohane (Kager), his cherished wife of 61 years; his seven children, Thomas Jr., Michael, Susan (Morikawa), Robert, James, Jack and Timothy; his three siblings, Phyllis Mucha, Frances Keohane and Patricia Stockman, and 13 grandchildren.
Tom once said, “Nothing in my life turned out as I expected, but that is a good thing.” Tom was raised in Buffalo, New York. He met Joan there on an arranged date. Joan had met Tom’s brother through a friend and liked him so much she asked if he had any brothers. Luckily, he did. Tom was serving in the Air Force when they married in 1955. He and Joan lived in Waco, Texas for a time. After serving in the Air Force, they returned to Buffalo, New York. There, they raised seven children with lots of fun and humor. For 34 years, Tom flew for American Airlines, where he was a beloved member of the “108s.” The family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1985, and he retired from the airlines in 1988. Tom was an avid golfer and a long-time member of Tanoan Country Club. In 1989, he began a second career, assisting his son Jack with payroll and accounting at ABC Seamless, Inc. No one loved to laugh more than Tom Keohane, despite the fact that his beloved Buffalo Bills broke his heart every year since the 1970’s.
