 United States

  • Date Of Birth: July 13, 1946
  • Date Of Death: March 13, 2017

Tom Yamokoski joined Cecily (Remisiewicz) Yamokoski, his wife of 46 years, in heaven on March 13, 2017, after just nine months apart. Tom’s big blue eyes sparkled when he laughed and his mischievous smile appeared when he teased (a favorite pastime of his). Tom had a passion for golf and playing with his Bath League, he also enjoyed flying model planes, baking pastries, and traveling the world. His sense of humor and wit, ability to listen and give great advice, smooth golf swing, and unwavering love will be missed by his family and friends. He lived admirably with Parkinson’s disease for nearly 15 years, even managing a few holes at Pinnacle Golf Club just last year.

Tom was born to Alex and Rita (Lucas) Yamokoski, on July 13, 1946. He attended Hoban High School, Miami University, B.A., Penn State, M.A., and Memphis State University, earning his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Yamokoski was a psychologist for 30 years. A forerunner in the field of Eating Disorders, he was a sensitive, caring therapist that helped many. Tom is survived by Alexis, his only daughter; Jason (son-in-law) and Loren Heldt (granddaughter); brothers, Gary and Bill (Carol Caponigro) Yamokoski; cousins, nieces and nephews.
