Thomas W. Ramroth, 80

Brunswick Thomas W. Ramroth, 80, of Country Way, died Wednesday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Charles and Delvina Beaudoin Ramroth and husband of Grace Withcuskey Ramroth. He had resided in Brunswick past two years and in Troy most of his life and was educated at Troy schools.

Mr. Ramroth owned and operated a service station on Hoosick and River Streets in Troy in the 1940’s and more recently worked in the finishing department of Norton Company in Watervliet for several years retiring in 1983.

He was a member of the Paper makers Union and Norton Retirees.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters Delgra Childs and husband John Brown Childs of Santa Cruz, CA and Dale Bentley and husband Robert Bentley of West Sand Lake; a brother Charles Ramroth and wife Lee of Lake Isabella, CA; a sister Alice Menges of Rochester; two grandchildren Andy and Dan Bentley both of West Sand Lake and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Gail M. Ramroth.
