Tom received his degree from Morraine Valley Community College and worked in the steel industry in sales for 30 + years, retiring from Arcana. He served in the Army National Guard and was an active member in KSKJ and The Slovenian National Home for over 30 years. He was a member of the Msgr. Downey, Council 3660, Knights of Columbus. Tom was a train enthusiast and could play the Banjo, mandolin and Button Box. He enjoyed playing polkas with his bandmates at the NASH any time the opportunity presented itself. Tom was a huge animal lover as he had SEVERAL beloved dogs throughout his life time. Above all, he was devoted and dedicated to his family who will deeply miss him.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marcia Bracik; children, Tricia (John) Hutton, Todd Bracik, Tiffany (Ross) Maddox and Therese (Matt) Houze; brother, John (Phyllis) Bracik; and grandchildren, Hannah, Tessa, Connor, Jake, Lizzie and Ben. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lorraine Serrette.
