Mr. Thomas More Keane, age 64, of Derby, formerly of Milford, passed away on Tuesday May 2, 2006 in Bridgeport Hospital. Son of the late F. James and Elizabeth Skane Keane, He was born on October 8, 1941 in Bridgeport and was a long time resident of Milford. He was educated at St. Patrick and St. Ann School, Bassick High School, all in Bridgeport, as well as St. Albert Seminary School in Middletown NY and St. Michael College in Winooski Park, VT. He was initiated into IBEW Local #488 on October 1,1963. His long career as an electrician was interrupted by 4 years of duty in the U.S. Army, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post #71 in West Haven, CT. Tom will be greatly missed for his kindness, quick sense of humor, and devotion to family and friends. He leaves a son, Matthew T. Keane of Derby, a daughter, Amanda E. Keane of Stratford, two sisters, Catherine Jermain and her husband Dr. Jerome P. Jermain of Milford, Betty Collins of Bridgeport, 20 devoted nieces and nephews, 41 grand nieces and nephews, and one great grand niece. He is also survived by many cousins, one of whom Tom considered like a brother, Joseph Keane of Derby. He was predeceased by his twin sister Peggy Keane DeLasho, his sister, Mary Lou Keane Andersen, and his brother-in-law, Raymond E. Collins.
