Eaton, IN

 Tom was born on June 9, 1946 in Muncie, Indiana.  The son of James and Margaret (West) Marquell.  He was a 1964 graduate of Desoto High School where he excelled in three sports and met the love of his life.  Later that year he married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Pitser in Albany, Indiana.

 Tom worked for Delco Battery and retired after 33 years of employment.  After retirement Tom worked with his friends at Country Classic Marina in Albany for over 10 years.

 He spent his life giving to others and being active in the community.  He coached little league baseball in Eaton for many years, attend the many sporting events in support of his boys and then grandkids.  He was proud of the accomplishments of each and every one, and it could be heard from the bleachers loud and clear.  He was elected and served for eight years on the Delaware Community School Board and served as President. Tom enjoyed volunteering at the Blackford County YMCA and made many friends there.  Always smiling, always friendly and always sharing great stories.  He will be missed by many. 

 Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Marquell; three sons, Todd (Maria), Phillip (Kristin), Cary (Meredith); ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brother Richard Marquell (Cynthia).
