Thomas Layne Shannon, 75, of Woodland Park, CO, passed away on July 17, 2022. He was born to parents William and Betty Shannon, on March 30, 1947 in Denver, Colorado.
After graduating from Iver C. Ranum High School in 1965, he served in the United States Navy as a corpsman and pharmacy technician during the Vietnam War which inspired a further career in pharmacy.
Tom worked as a pharmacist for over 30 years, during which time he designed and managed the pharmacy at Penrose Community Hospital in Colorado Springs. He retired from Centura Health before moving to Woodland Park, CO.
Tom met Sandra Shannon in Woodland Park.
Tom is predeceased by his brother, Michael Shannon. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shannon, and brother, Gary Willis, as well as his 4 children: Nathanial Shannon- from his previous marriage with Julie Jones- and Erin Shannon, Kacey Reynolds, and Tara Clark- from his previous marriage with Elizabeth Shannon. He has 5 grandchildren- McKinley, Calix, Gemma, Wesley, and Brenner.
