WHIPPLE, Thomas J. passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014. Thomas was born January 16, 1933, in Kalamazoo, the son of John and Alta Allen Whipple, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. and worked for Union Camp as a pallitizer operator for 22 years. On January 8, 1954, he married Marlene Mieke, who survives.
He is also survived by their children, Thomas C. Whipple of Kalamazoo, Michael Steven Terri Whipple of Paw Paw, Teresa Whipple Barry Clayton of Palm Springs, CA., David P. Lisa Whipple of Hartford, MI., Michelle Whipple of Grand Rapids, MI, and Kenneth Whipple of Portage; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Boze of Delton; a brother, Dale Whipple of FL., nieces and nephews.
