Thomas Fetty went to be with his Savior on August 9, 2020 following heart failure. He was born June 14, 1925 to Cecil and Freda Fetty in Wells County, Indiana and moved to Anderson at the age of 14.

In prior years, he attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church of Anderson. Thomas graduated from Anderson High School and proudly served in the U.S Army during World War II. After returning from war, Thomas was involved in a variety of work such as auto body repair and farming. He later retired from General Motors in 1987 after 36.4 years of service. He was a member of the Anderson Order of the Eagles and the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, yard work and planting his vegetable garden. He later took up woodworking and was very talented. More than anything, Thomas loved being with his beloved wife and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, James (Kris) Fetty and Steve (Cyndy) Fetty; two daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Cochran and Dawn Shank; brother-in-law Robert (Karen) Landes; two local grandchildren, Stacy (Todd) Dawkins and Lisa (Michael “John” Maynard) Cochran; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Norma Fetty; and his parents, Cecil and Freda Fetty. The family would like to thank Crown Pointe of Anderson for the care and love that was shown, and St. Vincent Anderson Hospice nurses Pam and Aid Tilley for their compassionate care that was given.
