Tom was born June 1, 1966, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Kenneth Ray Stinson and Sammie Mae Stubblefield. He graduated high school in 1984. The family moved to Odessa, Texas when Tom was 6 weeks old and then moved to Lovington, New Mexico at the age of 2 years.
Tom worked in the oilfield from 1984 to 2021 in various positions. He had a passion for competition barbeque, hunting, riding motorcycles, and go to the drag races. He also went on his Walk to Emmaus as well as worked one. He wanted people to know his Jesus. Tom would also say that he was the “pastor wife” and wanted everyone around to be happy and laughing.
In 2009, after 26 years apart and each having a previous marriage, Tom married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly and gained two bonus children.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents and best friend Pastor Matt Williamson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kimberly (Barnard) Stinson, of Kermit, Texas, his children – Ryan Stinson of Anchorage, Alaska, Jerry (Lylybell) Keenan, Kermit, Texas, Kaitlyn (Dominick) Folletti of Wasilla, Alaska, and Alexis Keenan of Hobbs, New Mexico. Grandchildren Zachary Stevens, Alayna Keenan, and James Keenan. Tom is also survived by his parents Kenneth and Sammie Stinson as well as his brothers Kenneth (Christy) Stinson Jr, and John (Kendall) Stinson, and many nieces and nephews. As well as so many families, friends, The Greater Emmaus community, and all of his church families.
Family is asking that those who have attended a Walk to Emmaus to wear their lanyards.
