“Tom” or “Ed,”as some knew him, was born on July 9, 1928 in Cottonwood, Alabama to the late B. Shelmon Jones and the late V. Brell Godfrey Jones. He engaged in marriage to the lovely Ms. Whigham on December 22, 1949. In 1951, he entered the United States Air Force.
He leaves cherished memories to his loving wife of 57 years, Peggy Whigham Jones; children, Jennifer Mullin and husband Garry of Burleson, TX, Tom Jones and wife Capri of Navarre, Florida, and Richard Jones of Fort Walton Beach, FL; grandchildren, Matthew Evans of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Natalie Mullin of Burleson, TX, and Jake Mullin of Burleson, TX; brothers, Robert Jones and wife Thelma of Edmond, OK, and Frasier Jones and wife Shirley of Chattahoochee, FL; sister, Rebecca Wier and husband Chuck of Quincy, FL; brother-in-law, Bill Pfeiffer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and several other family members. He is preceded in death by his sister, Alice Pfeiffer; and brothers, Wayne Jones, Bernard Jones, and James Lee Jones.
