Thomas “Tom” Drust Thomas “Tom” Drust, 95, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown, PA. Born: He was born in Shamokin, PA on February 3, 1919, to the late Thomas and Clair Drust. He was married to the late Julia (Galley) Drust who passed away in 1997. Personal: Tom was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School. He was a decorated Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army from December 15, 1944 to October 24, 1946, and served in the Pacific Theater. Memberships: His passions were art, music, and bowling. He was a Past President of the Bethlehem Palette Club and a member of the Lehigh Valley Art Alliance. Godfrey Daniels taught him to play the guitar. Bowling with the guys of the M.O.R.A. Bowling League was a weekly highlight for him. Volunteering was also important to Tom. Both United Cerebral Palsy and Meals on Wheels benefited from his generosity. His favorite past time at home was cheering for the Phillies and the Nazareth Blue Eagles wrestling team as he faithfully followed their games and meets on television. Survivors: Tom is survived and lovingly remembered by his two sons, Joseph Drust and his wife Carole of Wind Gap, PA and Lee Drust and his wife Suzie of Bethlehem, PA; a sister, Patricia Zeiner of Nicholson, PA; grandchildren, Dennis Drust, Jason Drust, Christopher Drust, Todd Drust, Thomas Drust, and LeeAnn Drust; ten great-grandchildren.
