Thomas Charles Jacob Martin II, age 64, of Edwardsburg, died peacefully Sunday morning, August 12, 2018 in his residence.
He was born February 24, 1954 in El Paso, Texas to Thomas “Tucker” Charles Jacob and Kathryn Martin. He married Laurajean Burgett, February 14, 2000, in Comstock, Michigan. She survives. Thomas was proud of his Irish heritage.
His parents immigrated from Ireland prior to his birth in the United States. Thomas served honorably in the US Marine Corps. Thomas will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Laurajean (Burgett) Martin of Kalamazoo; two daughters, Erin Elisabeth (fiancé Jason Porzio, Sr.) Martin of Shamokin, Pennsylvania, Alyssa (Lauren McFadden) Burgett-McFadden of Kalamazoo; son, Dakota Martin of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Alana Porzio, Jason Porzio, Jr., Aiden Porzio, Jayden Porzio, Thomas Burgett-McFadden, and Annalynne Burgett-McFadden; sister, MaryJo Martin; sister-in-law, Vivian Martin and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Uriah Thomas Gildard Martin; two sisters, Linda, Christina; and one brother, John Martin.
