Thomas Carl Slate, 64 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at home.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on May 3, 1948, he was the son of Mabel (Blakeley) Slate of North East, MD and the late Rufus Slate.
He retired from Citibank where he worked as a Mail Carrier. He was a member of the MBA Bowling League.
In addition to his mother, Thomas is survived by 2 daughters: Belinda Slate of Elkton, MD, Heather Slate of Hanover, PA; a stepson: Richard Palmer, III of Elkton, MD; 4 siblings: Caroline Stewart of North East, MD, Bonnie Katz of Westford, VA, Elaine Hintze of Elkton, MD and Allen Slate of Belgium. He is also survived by his lifelong friend and mother of his children: Robin Vermeersch of Elkton, MD.
