Thomas J Regan of Philadelphia died peacefully on March 3rd, 2022 after a brief illness. He was , known as Bruz to his family, was born in Philadelphia. He was raised in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and attended St. Athanasius School, graduating from LaSalle College High School in 1951. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he attended Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia. Tom then worked for the Curtis Publishing company as an administrator in the purchasing department. He worked as a bartender at the Broad Axe on Skippack Pike in BlueBell for many years and later as a salesman for City of Mirrors. He continued working until a few weeks before his 89th birthday, delivering prescriptions for the Westgate Pharmacy in Bala Cynwyd and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. An artist who painted with oil and watercolors and a lifelong lover of art, Tom spent many hours at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Foundation. He was generous, quick with a handshake, kind word, or a laugh, and always an optimist. He recently noted that he had not missed a single Eagles game in more than 75 was preceded in death by his parents Mary (nee Weir) and Theodore Regan, his two brothers Theodore and Lee, and two sons, Tom and is survived by daughters Zanne Miller and Rosemary Regan as well as a son, Terrence Regan, beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and his favorite cousin, George Weir.
