Thomas B. “Bubba” Decker, 82, a life-long resident of Huntertown, passed away suddenly in the early morning, Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at his home.
Born on September 11, 1938, in Huntertown, to the late Charles and Joella (Pitney) Decker.
Tom was married to Sharon Suever, on June 24, 1961, in Fort Wayne.
Bubba had an immense love for truck driving, flowers, and produce. His love for traveling has taken him to 48 of the 50 states. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of the Huntertown United Methodist Church.
Tom and Sharon shared their life growing and running the Huntertown Gardens, a family business established in 1938 by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Decker; three daughters, Theresa (Shaugn) Shultz, Rose Hathaway and Elizabeth (Rich Hass) Decker; his sister, Barbara Springer; four grandchildren, Jacob (Christine) Hathaway, Kathryn (Thomas) Miller, Jessie Wright and Joella (Andrew) Metzger; four great-grandchildren, Keagan, Micah, Eric and Caleb.
Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Sonny” Decker, Jr. and a son-in-law, Kevin Hathaway.
