Thomas Andrew “Tom” Garten, 55 of San Mateo, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Putnam Community Medical Center from injuries received in an automobile accident. Tom was a native and lifelong resident of Putnam County and a graduate of Palatka High School. He worked as an electrician and had also worked in the stucco and lathe business. Tom was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his leisure time, Tom also enjoyed watching NASCAR and Florida State and Jaguars football.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leigh Garten.
Tom is survived by his children, T.W Garten (Victoria), Daisey Garten, and brother, Ray Garten (Ellen).
