Muncie – Thirl E. Parker, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
Thirl was born in Granville, Indiana on February 4, 1935, the son of Esker and Lillian (Schmidt) Parker, and was a graduate of Muncie Central High School.
Mr. Parker worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Blackford County Schools for over 18 years until his retirement in 2000. Thirl was a member of Old Town Hill SBC, and Case Knife Club.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Parker, Muncie; a son, Robert Parker, Santa Fe, New Mexico; a daughter, Rosalie M. Welch, (husband-John), Muncie; a grandson, Zachary Welch Muncie; a sister, Phyllis Eppard (husband-Lewis “Bud”),Joliet, Illinois; special friends Mike and Jenney Voke, Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and five sisters.
